Part of Egypt’s rich architectural heritage comes from its religious roots. As a result, Cairo is often referred to as the city of 1000 minarets.
On this tour, you will visit some of the city’s most famous and important Islamic sites. Visit Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque, the 2nd oldest mosque in Cairo, built between 876-879.

Then go next door to see the Gayer Anderson Museum, a very well-preserved 17th-century home. Both sites were used in the James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me.

Next, go a short distance to the “twin mosques,” Sultan Hassan and Al Rifai Mosques.
